Attic Insulation

SpiderfromMars | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

My vented attic is decked but uninsulated.  I want to install 8″ of Owens Corning 2″ x 4′ x 8′ styrofoam sheets x 4 on the attic deck.  Is there any problem with stacking this product?

There's no problem with stacking it, but it may not be the best choice. Either batt or loose insulation is going to be cheaper.

Where it meets the walls you have to make sure it's a tight fit to the wall insulation while still allowing air flow through the soffit.
