ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & HOUSE DESIGN

gstan | Posted in Pretty Good House on

All the current blather about Artificial Intelligence makes
one think that a logical place to utilize AI would be to optimize
the ROI for house design – you should be able find the optimum
between increasing costs associated with increasing the energy
efficiency and the length of time necessary to live in the house for
the savings in energy costs to be worth it. Haven’t noticed anybody
out there claiming to use AI for this purpose so far?????

IMO the fundamental problem with AI is that it is based on software built to pass the Turing test, IOW, convince you it is a human. A test that is predicated on lying.
A lawyer has recently been sanctioned for using AI to write a brief, because it made up case citations whole cloth.
    Now, translate that to engineering
    Uhh, no thanks.
I will take a bad architect over a lying architect every time
