Article idea- wall assemblies that work

freyr_design | Posted in General Questions on

I think GBA should write a guide to wall assemblies that work, similar to the cathedral ceiling guide. I feel like that guide is constantly cited and I see a similar number of post regarding walls that could use a similar article to send readers to.  I realize it wouldn’t solve all the questions but it could be a good place to start for many people.

    fryer_design,

I agree, that's a great idea. That's generally what happens in practice: Three or four wall assemblies become common in each climate zone, rather than each project inventing its own custom one - and the benefits are that we know they work, and subs will be familiar with all the detailing.
