Which sealants do people prefer with Membrain vapor retarder. The documentation states silicone…. yuck…. Ive been using Big Stretch (approved for use with nylon which I believe is another name for polyamide) and Quad Max (my empirical testing shows an extremely strong bond), but I’d prefer to switch to a latex acoustical sealant to reduce cost and potentially provide a more flexible/durable seal. I did a short term test with Green Glue acoustical sealant and it appears to bond, but I can’t find enough information to give me confidence to use it in the field.

If someone else confirms acoustical sealant is appropriate...I have ordered large quantities and been very happy of the shipping condition of the Titebond Aucostical sealant at $8.85 for the large cartridge from Zoro. All within several orders across the last two months.
I ordered several from amazon and all have had the tip smashed to some degree.
