Amerrock insulation
Does anyone have experience with Amerrock attic blow insulation. I am trying to find out if it contains PBDE”s, formaldehyde and other chemicals that may be problematic for the chemically sensitive. Also I was wondering about its performance.

Amerrock is a slag-wool mineral fiber insulation, which is generally inert and typically contains no additives.
According to its MSDS, it "gives off H2S under certain acidic conditions", but it should not encounter such conditions in an attic space and the attic should be air-sealed and isolated from the conditioned space, and ideally ventilated.
It offers about R-3.4 per inch, which is equivalent to other loose-fill insulations.
Cellulose with borates is another non-toxic option.
