Air purifier

shinterface | Posted in General Questions on

Can anyone recommend an air purifier model that can remove bad odor from a room (i.e., cigar smell)? It need to have a carbon filter, cover at least 1300 sq., reliable, and low maintenance?

Thanks.

I think you are looking for a system that accomplishes adsorption of gases using activated carbon, zeolite, silica, or activated alumina. For use with your central forced air system, consider Filtration Group filters (https://store.filtrationgroup.com/hvac/hvac-series-550-filters ).

Stand-alone filtration units that handle gases: I am NOT vouching for the content here, but they do include room units that have an activated charcoal adsorption filter: https://afresherhome.com/best-air-purifier-odor-elimination/?utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F.
