adding closed cell foam in the 2″ gap btween brick wall interior wall

I live in a 1925 2 family brick house in NYC. my entrance hallway is cold thus making my bedroom just as cold. my question is can I add closed cell foam in the gap between the brick wall and the interior wall. if I cant then what can I do to insulate to keep the cold out?
