Attic Ventilation
I have a newly constructed 2 story home with an attic with around 1000 sq ft of space. My home has a ridge roof ventilation system and a gable vent. My question is on windy days when the wind gust, what would cause the air pressure in the attic to create a vacuum sensation which actually lifts up the access panel to the attic located in the ceiling on the 2nd floor? I am concerned because the air pressure seems to get very high in the attic when the wind gust and the noise/vibratoon that it makes is discomforting. I am also concerned about how this might affect the roof integrity over time, Thank you.
