The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) will hold a one-day conference in New York City on November 3, 2016. Called BuildingEnergy NYC, the conference will focus in part on efforts by the city of New York to reduce the carbon footprint of the city’s buildings.
Speakers will include Lois Arena of Steven Winter Associates, Floris Keverling Buisman of 475 High Performance Building Supply, and Steven Strong of Solar Design Associates.
Commenting on the upcoming conference, conference co-chair Ken Levenson, president of 475 High Performance Building Supply, said, “It is one thing for the City to mandate an audacious goal like 80% reduction in carbon emissions within 35 years. It is quite another to marshal the troops to get there.
It’s a bit like re-routing the Titanic with the iceberg in sight — but in this case the iceberg is melting and threatening to drown us in the process.”
The conference opens at the TKP Center in New York City at 7:00 am on Thursday November 3.
