A new report says the worldwide market for green construction materials will more than double over the next seven years to reach $254 billion by 2020.
Navigant Research, a market research and consulting company, said a number of factors would contribute to growth, including consumer demand, lower costs for green materials, an expansion of certification programs and “growing evidence that green buildings confer quantifiable market advantages.”
